A renowned business tycoon and a Philanthropist, Hon. Olaitan Nurudeen Owoniyi (Jaiyeoba of Igbaja) has extended his warmest felicitations to the Muslim Ummah, the people of Ifelodun,Offa,Oyun Federal constituency and all residents of Kwara State on the occasion of this year’s Eid al-Fitr.
In a statement issued from his media office on Thursday, Hon. Owoniyi described the festival as a period of profound spiritual reflection and a divine reward for the discipline, self-denial, and devotion exhibited during the thirty days of fasting.
Hon. Olaitan emphasized that the true essence of Eid lies in carrying forward the lessons of the holy month into daily life.
“Eid al-Fitr is more than just a celebration, it is a proof to the strength of our faith and our capacity for endurance,” the statement read.
“As we break the fast, let us not break the habits of piety, kindness, and patience that we have cultivated. This is a moment to renew our commitment to God and to the well-being of our fellow human beings.” He added.
Hon. Owoniyi urged all citizens, regardless of their religious background, to embrace the spirit of unity and peaceful coexistence as the foundation for a stronger community.
“Our diversity is our strength. I appeal to all Kwarans to continue to live in harmony and to support one another. Let the joy of this season inspire us to be our brother’s keeper, reaching out to the less privileged and fostering a culture of shared responsibility,” he stated.
The statement also lauded the leadership of His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his administration’s tireless efforts in maintaining peace and driving inclusive development across the state. Hon. Owoniyi noted that the atmosphere of tranquility enjoyed during the Ramadan period is a result of proactive governance and the collective prayers of the people.
He offered his prayers for lasting prosperity, security, and divine guidance for the traditional institution, the state, and the nation at large.
