INFRASTRUCTURE: PROVISION OF BOREHOLES AND OTHER WATER SOURCES:
Hon. Olasumbo Florence Oyeyemi has never been a leader confined to the office; her service has always reached the people directly at the grassroots. In addition to her other areas of impact, she has also demonstrated an impressive commitment to community development by addressing critical infrastructure needs. Driven by compassion and a practical understanding of the people’s needs, she sponsored the drilling of motorised boreholes across the three districts of Oke-Ero Local Government when she was a commissioner.
The beneficiary communities include Ilale Town in Ekan-Meje District, Odo-Owa in Iloffa Odo-Owa District, and Idofin Odo-Ashe in Idofin District. In addition, she also sponsored the drilling of a well in the Fulani settlement area of Idofin-Igbana, with the provision of a pumping machine and a water tank. She also provided manual pumping types of boreholes in other settlements with no or unstable electricity.
These projects provided access to clean and safe water, improved public health, and eased the burden on families, especially women and children. This gesture further demonstrated Yeyelua’s responsive leadership, grassroots impact, commitment to people’s well-being and her valuable record of service to the people.
She has done it before and she’s ready to do more in a bigger capacity for Ekiti/Irepodun/ Isin/ Oke-Ero Federal constituency.
