Barrister Hussein Afolabi, an aspirant for the House of Representatives under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency, has joined Nigerians in celebrating workers on the occasion of the 2026 Workers’ Day.
In a goodwill message issued on Thursday, Afolabi commended the resilience, dedication, and sacrifices of workers across Edu/Moro/Patigi and the country at large, describing them as the foundation of national development and economic growth.
He noted that the progress of any nation is closely tied to the well-being of its working population, stressing the need for continued commitment to policies that enhance workers’ welfare and protect their dignity in the workplace.
“Our development as a nation depends largely on the happiness and productivity of the working class. We must continue to support initiatives that improve their living conditions and ensure fairness in the workplace,” he said.
Afolabi further assured workers of his commitment to advocating for people-oriented policies aimed at strengthening labour welfare and creating a more inclusive society.
He concluded his message by extending warm greetings to Nigerian workers, wishing them a peaceful and rewarding celebration.
“Happy Workers’ Day, Nigerians,” he added.
