Prince Femi Agbaje Whyte Officially Declares for House of Reps, Vows Effective Representation

Former Kwara Commissioner, Prince Femi Agbaje Whyte has officially declared his intention to contest for the Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The declaration, tagged “Tiwa N Tiwa” (Ours is Ours) Declaration took place on Thursday at the Emiola Junction in Offa.

Despite it being the day for the popular Owode Market, traders and market women joined a mammoth crowd of party faithful and stakeholders to witness what many have described as a landmark entry into the 2027 race.

Addressing the crowd, Prince Agbaje Whyte emphasized that his ambition is a mission born of conviction to provide loud representation in Abuja that is felt in every ward from Share to Igbaja and Erin-Ile to Ijagbo.

“This is not an ambition born of desperation; it is a mission born of conviction,” Agbaje Said.

“Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun will not be a footnote in the 11th Assembly. I will be a bridge builder, ensuring no ward is abandoned and no voice is ignored.” He added.

Unveiling his covenant with the people, the aspirant outlined a four-point agenda focused on Legislative Advocacy aimed at sponsoring bills to unlock jobs and secure communities

On infrastructure,  Agbaje said he’ll leverage his networks to attract federal projects to local roads, schools, and hospitals. Talking about Economic Empowerment, he pledged to create tech hubs for Offa youth, market access for Ifelodun farmers, and credit facilities for Oyun traders while also pledging to publish every kobo of constituency allocation and holding quarterly town hall meetings towards ensuring accountability.

The declaration saw a high-powered attendance of political and traditional leaders, signifying a unified front behind the aspirant.

The Executive Chairman of Offa LGA, Hon. Suleiman Olatunji Omituntun (Laaro) was also in attendance alongside the APC Chairmen for Offa and Oyun, Prince Nasiru Adekunle Moshood Adegboye (Kunle Papa) and Hon. Adewoye Michael Kayode.

The party leaders, in their separate remarks, lauded Agbaje’s loyalty to the APC and his alignment with the “Renewed Hope” agenda of the federal government and the transformative leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

The event was further brightened by the presence of the Olofa-in-Council, representing the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II.

In a rare treat for the audience, legendary Apala musician Haruna Ishola thrilled the crowd, adding a cultural flair to the historic political declaration.
