Following escalating political anxieties in Kwara South, Team Yèyélúà a prominent political structure within the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the campaign media Team for Hon. Mrs Chief Olasumbo Florence has strongly debunked a viral publication falsely claiming that a specific aspirant has emerged as the winner of the Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency primary election.
In a disclaimer released on Sunday evening and made available to 9japarrot media, the political group characterized the reports as a total fabrication designed to mislead party faithful, undermine the electoral process, and create artificial tension across the federal constituency.
The group emphasized that the unauthorized announcement directly contradicts the reality on the ground, pointing out that the viral claims fly in the face of verified ward-level collated data.
“We wish to categorically state that this information is entirely false, misleading, and should be disregarded by the public,” the statement read.
“The publication did not originate from any authorized or credible source and appears to have been deliberately fabricated to misinform the public and create unnecessary political tension.”the statement added.
Recognizing the delicate nature of the primary season, Team Yèyélúà raised the alarm regarding the security implications of premature victory declarations. The group explicitly labeled the act as political sabotage capable of instigating internal party strife and civil unrest across the four local government areas.
To prevent any breakdown of law and order, they issued an urgent appeal to law enforcement agencies to investigate the Source, enforce Justice: and ensure peace to maintain a high security presence at critical collation points as official processes conclude.
As party delegates, stakeholders, and community members wait out the high-stakes political cycle, Team Yèyélúà urged all genuine APC loyalists to maintain decorum and ignore unauthorized social media declarations.
“We hereby urge members of the public, party supporters, and stakeholders to remain calm and rely only on verified and official channels for authentic information regarding the election process and its outcomes,” the group concluded.
