Iran has insisted on gaining access to its frozen assets and restoring oil exports before concluding a final agreement with the United States.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Monday that significant progress had been made in ongoing negotiations aimed at easing tensions and laying the groundwork for a broader deal.
According to Araghchi, the discussions have focused on securing waivers for Iran’s oil and petrochemical exports, lifting restrictions that have affected the country’s economy, and releasing some of its frozen overseas assets.
He explained that the proposed measures would ease limits on Iran’s energy exports, allowing Tehran to resume oil sales and access the revenues generated, while also improving access to financial resources held abroad.
