OBG Foundation Announces June 24 for Commencement of First Batch of Digital Skill Acquisition Programme


The Omar Bolaji Gambari Foundation has announced Wednesday, June 24, 2026, as the official commencement date for the first phase of its Digital Skill Acquisition Programme aimed at empowering young people with relevant digital and technological skills.

According to the Foundation, the first batch of the programme will accommodate 55 participants selected from the 105 individuals who successfully picked for the initiative.

The Foundation disclosed that the second phase of the programme, which will comprise the remaining 50 picked participants, will be announced within the next two weeks. It assured all registered beneficiaries that every participant will be given the opportunity to benefit from the programme as scheduled.

The OBG Foundation urged the beneficiaries of the first batch to take full advantage of the opportunity by dedicating themselves to intensive learning throughout the training period. The Foundation emphasized that the programme was carefully designed to equip participants with practical digital skills capable of enhancing their employability, entrepreneurship prospects, and overall contribution to the digital economy.

Furthermore, the Foundation appealed to the remaining participants awaiting their turn to remain calm, focused, and patient, assuring them that their names would be announced in due course as preparations for the second phase are finalized.

The OBG Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to youth empowerment, capacity development, and the promotion of digital literacy across communities, noting that the initiative forms part of its broader vision of creating opportunities for sustainable growth and development among young people.
