••• Appreciates Tinubu, Gov AbdulRazaq, APC Leaders, Constituents for Support

Following the emergence of the former Kwara State Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Chief Olasumbo Florence Oyeyemi (Yèyélúà), as the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer, a prominent youth organization has lauded the development as a historic milestone for regional representation.
In a congratulatory statement issued on Thursday and made available to 9japarrot media, the Oke-Ero Youth Assembly (OYA) expressed profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, and APC leadership at all levels for their unwavering solidarity and commitment to equity, justice, and inclusive governance.
The group also celebrated Chief Oyeyemi’s recent appointment as the Co-Coordinator of the Kwara State APC Tinubu Touch Bearers (TTB) by the Office of the APC State Woman Leader, describing both milestones as a well-deserved recognition of her years of unwavering party loyalty, grassroots mobilization, and humanitarian service.
Correcting a historical representation deficit
For the people of Oke-Ero Local Government Area, the group noted that Chief Oyeyemi’s emergence as a major party’s standard-bearer represents a paradigm shift in the political landscape of the federal constituency.
“For the people of Oke-Ero Local Government, this moment is particularly historic and marvelous in our sight,” the statement, signed by OYA Executive President, Prince Olaifa Johnson Muyiwa, and General Secretary, Bankole Moyinoluwa Comfort, read.
“Since creation, our local government has remained without representation in either chamber of the National Assembly. Today, the emergence of one of our own as the APC party’s standard-bearer represents a new chapter of hope and political fulfillment.”
Expressing absolute confidence in her administrative and leadership capabilities, the youth group stated that Chief Oyeyemi’s humility, grassroots accessibility, and extensive organizational capacity having served as Kwara’s Finance Commissioner uniquely position her to deliver people-centered, quality representation for the Irepodun/Isin/Ekiti/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency at the green chamber.
Building on the momentum of the APC’s decision, the Assembly functioning as a non-partisan umbrella body for youths in the area made a passionate appeal to opposition political parties in the state to emulate the APC’s zoning model ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“It is on the strength of this that we passionately, as an assemblage of non-partisan youth, implore all other political parties to kindly follow suit and toe this path of equity, fairness, and inclusive governance by zoning their House of Representatives tickets to Oke-Ero Local Government Area,” the group urged.
Wishing the candidate outstanding success in her new national and state-level assignments, OYA reaffirmed its dedication to mobilizing the local populace to ensure a landslide victory for the APC candidate at the polls.
