A distinguished medical specialist and PDP chieftain, Dr. Seyi Adigun, has congratulated Hon. Saheed Popoola, Chief Joseph Gbenga Obanla and Barrister Bello Afolayan on their emergence as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates for the Kwara South Senatorial District, Irepodun/Ekiti/Oke Ero/Isin Federal Constituency and Irepodun State Constituency respectively, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued by his Media Aide, Tomi Vincent Fadunmade and made available to 9japarrot on Wednesday, Dr. Adigun described the emergence of the trio as a development capable of rekindling hope and confidence in the future of effective representation across the constituencies.
He described Hon. Saheed Popoola, a former member of the Kwara State House of Assembly, as a seasoned politician whose political journey has been defined by integrity, loyalty and a genuine commitment to the welfare of the ordinary people.
According to Dr. Adigun, Popoola’s experience and understanding of grassroots politics have prepared him for the responsibilities of representing Kwara South at the Senate. He expressed optimism that his emergence would herald a new chapter of purposeful representation and stronger advocacy for the people of the senatorial district.
On Chief Joseph Gbenga Obanla, Dr. Adigun described him as a man of exceptional character, humility and service, whose commitment to humanity extends beyond politics.
He noted that Obanla’s reputation for service and his understanding of the aspirations of the people make him a credible choice for the Irepodun/Ekiti/Oke Ero/Isin Federal Constituency, expressing confidence in his ability to provide responsible and impactful representation at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.
Dr. Adigun also celebrated Barrister Bello Afolayan, describing him as an accomplished professional and compassionate leader who has consistently demonstrated genuine love and concern for his people.
He stated that Bello’s emergence represents an opportunity for the people of Irepodun to entrust their mandate to an individual with the capacity, temperament and commitment to advance their interests at the Kwara State House of Assembly.
