A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Chief Segun Olaoye, has declared total support for the party’s candidate for Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency, Hon. Chief (Mrs.) Olasumbo Florence Oyeyemi.
Olaoye, the Babalaje of Oro Kingdom and one of the notable aspirants during the party’s primary election, made the declaration on Wednesday during a visit by Hon. Oyeyemi to his country home in Oro.
The meeting had in attendance critical members of Team Olaoye, APC ward executives and other supporters.
Speaking at the gathering, Chief Olaoye stressed the need for party members and stakeholders to set aside differences and work collectively for the success of the APC and all its candidates in the 2027 general elections.
He said “power belongs to God and that it is God who gives power to whomever He chooses at any given time.”
The APC chieftain subsequently pledged his total support and readiness to work for the candidacy of Hon. Oyeyemi and all other APC candidates in the federal constituency.
In her response, Hon. Oyeyemi thanked Chief Olaoye for his commitment and declaration of support. She reiterated her commitment to providing fair and inclusive representation that carries everyone along in the interest of progress and development of the constituency.
The visit and declaration were described by party stakeholders as a boost to APC’s unity and mobilisation drive ahead of the 2027 elections in Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency.
