Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun has congratulated the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, on his forthcoming turbaning as the Sardauna of Ilorin by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, on Wednesday.
Engr. Adeyemi described the conferment of the prestigious traditional title on Governor AbdulRazaq as a significant recognition of his leadership, commitment to public service and contributions to the development of Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State.
According to him, the Sardauna title carries profound historical and cultural significance, traditionally associated with leadership, courage, service and statesmanship.
“The turbaning of His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, as the Sardauna of Ilorin is not merely a celebration of an individual; it is a recognition of leadership and service to our people. It is a moment of pride for the Ilorin Emirate and the entire Kwara State.”
Engr. Adeyemi commended Governor AbdulRazaq for his administration’s focus on infrastructure, education, healthcare, human capital development, digital innovation, youth empowerment and economic development.
He also acknowledged the Governor’s efforts to promote Kwara’s cultural identity and preserve the values and institutions that define its people.
“Governor AbdulRazaq has demonstrated that leadership is about leaving lasting footprints. His administration’s development agenda continues to touch different sectors of our state, while his commitment to the growth and advancement of Ilorin Emirate remains worthy of commendation,” Engr. Adeyemi stated.
He further expressed confidence that the conferment of the Sardauna of Ilorin title would strengthen the relationship between the traditional institution and the political leadership of the state and inspire greater commitment to the development of Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State.
Engr. Adeyemi also congratulated His Royal Highness, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, describing the Emir as a custodian of the heritage, unity and values of the Ilorin Emirate.
He prayed that Almighty Allah would grant Governor AbdulRazaq wisdom, strength and greater capacity to continue serving the people, while wishing him a successful and memorable turbaning ceremony.
