Thugs Attack NDC Members During the 1 Million Man March in Warri

Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters resisted an attack on Thursday  by suspected political thugs during an ongoing 1-million-man march in support of Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso in Warri, Delta State.

The incident reportedly happened near the Warri Airport, where NDC supporters, including Obidients and Kwankwasiya supporters, were attacked by suspected political thugs.

Videos from the scene showed groups of supporters in blue shirts confronting the attackers and using sticks to chase off the attackers, who were eventually forced to retreat.

The incident reportedly caused tension in the area as the NDC supporters confronted the hoodlums while security personnel were seen at the scene.

One of the supporters, who appeared to have been injured during the attack, said: “He stabbed me. Look at the thugs, they came to attack us. The security [personnel] are watching. We must face them. We are fully ready for them.”

Despite the attack, the NDC supporters maintained their presence and continued with the march.
