A socio-political group, the Ndagi Kakafu Network for SYD (NKN-SYD), has officially endorsed the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi, for Governor of Kwara State ahead of the 2027 general elections under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The declaration was made on Saturday, October 24, 2026, during a press briefing held at the Kwara North House in GRA, Ilorin, Kwara State.
Addressing journalists at the venue, the Coordinator of NKN-SYD, Hon. Yakub Adam, alongside Convener Hon. Alh. Ndagi Alfa (Kakafu), stated that Kwara State requires strategic continuity, visionary foresight, and regional equity to sustain its current developmental trajectory.
“Throughout his tenure as Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi has exhibited exemplary legislative acumen, grassroots inclusivity, and deep-seated devotion to public welfare,” Adam said.
“His proven administrative track record, strategic vision, and bridge-building capacity render him exceptionally qualified to drive sustainable growth and guarantee equitable representation across Kwara State.” He said.
The group also declared its alignment with Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, endorsing him for the Kwara Central Senatorial District seat in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly.
Adam noted that transferring Governor AbdulRazaq’s executive experience, fiscal discipline, and strategic clout to the National Assembly will provide Kwara State with an influential voice at the federal level.
Speaking after the press briefing, Convener Alh. Ndagi Alfa (Kakafu) made a passionate appeal to stakeholders across Kwara South and Kwara Central to support Kwara North’s bid for the governorship in 2027 in the spirit of fairness and power rotation.
“Since the return to democracy in 1999, Kwara North has never had the opportunity to produce a governor for Kwara State,” Kakafu stated.
“Kwara belongs to all of us. We appeal to our brothers and sisters in Kwara Central and Kwara South to join hands with us to ensure equity, justice, and collective progress.” He added.
The group urged all APC party faithful, youth organizations, and opposition members to consolidate support under the All Progressives Congress and vote for all APC candidates across the board in the upcoming general elections.
