The National Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has hosted the Ambassador of Ukraine to Nigeria, His Excellency Ivan Kholostenko, for strategic diplomatic discussions aimed at expanding bilateral trade, investment opportunities, and private-sector partnerships between both nations.

The bilateral engagement took place on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the NACCIMA headquarters in Abuja.

According to a press statement signed by NACCIMA Public Relations Officer Hajia Madinat Adigun-Oladotun and made available to 9japarrot, deliberations centered on key economic sectors, including agriculture, agro-processing, manufacturing, technology transfer, energy, infrastructure development, and small and medium-scale enterprise (SME) expansion.

“NACCIMA recognizes the importance of economic diplomacy in connecting Nigerian businesses with international markets, attracting foreign direct investment, and promoting mutually beneficial partnerships,” the statement read.

“Closer collaboration between the Nigerian and Ukrainian private sectors can unlock new commercial opportunities, create employment, enhance industrial capacity, and contribute to economic resilience in both countries.” the statement added.

The meeting established framework plans for joint business-to-business networks, trade missions, investment forums, and mechanisms to enhance market access for Nigerian non-oil exports.
NACCIMA reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with the Ukrainian Embassy and federal trade agencies to translate high-level diplomatic dialogues into practical commercial growth and technology exchange for Nigerian businesses.
