Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has spearheaded a groundbreaking initiative, the Kwara State Geographic Information Service (KW-GIS), revolutionizing land administration in the state.
Embracing cutting-edge technology and digital platforms, KW-GIS has significantly streamlined land administration processes, fostering collaboration among departments to enhance efficiency.
The transformative reforms at KW-GIS extend beyond administrative improvements, successfully bolstering land document security and thwarting the activities of land grabbers. Ongoing initiatives focus on digitizing and serializing crucial documents like R of O, C of O, and other title deeds, showcasing a commitment to modernization.
KW-GIS serves as a centralized hub for geospatial data, methodically collecting, analyzing, and digitizing information to create a comprehensive database. This centralized repository facilitates the seamless production of diverse products, including maps, satellite imagery, survey plans, and building permits.
