Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, has described the commencement of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, commonly known as petrol, as amonumental step forward for Nigeria’s energy independence and economic growth
Excited NUPENG said it is aware of the potential and happy about the opportunities this development will bring in terms of employment for Nigerians, socio-economic prosperity, and monumental growth of our dear country.
In a congratulatory letter to the President/Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, by its General Secretary, Afolabi Olawale, NUPENG lauded President Bola Tinubu and Aliko Dangote, saying, “The leadership and entire members of the NUPENG, celebrate and felicitate with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, and the entire management team and staff of Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Company on the historic and landmark commencement of the production of gasoline, otherwise known as Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).

The successful production of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at this state-of-the-art facility not only marks a significant milestone for Dangote Refinery but also represents a monumental step forward for Nigeria’s energy independence and
economic growth.
