The highly anticipated Oyinbo Farmer scheme, a brainchild of the BTA Foundation, is set to conclude its comprehensive training program with a final session on branding in Omu Aran this Saturday. The initiative, which has far exceeded expectations, is also poised to award N50,000 start-up grants to 10 deserving beneficiaries, as promised by BTA Foundation President, Barrister Titilope Akogun.

From its inception, the Oyinbo Farmer program has been a hope for aspiring agribusiness entrepreneurs. Under the expert guidance of Tosin Odede, the scheme kicked off with an enlightening session on WhatsApp marketing, unveiling the platform’s untapped potential for business growth. This eye-opening start set the tone for a series of invaluable training sessions that followed.

Participants were treated to a deep dive into the world of Irresistible Offers in Sales Marketing, equipping them with strategies to stand out in a competitive market.

The program then shifted focus to the lucrative realm of exports, using food items as practical case studies. Beneficiaries gained crucial insights into documentation processes, sourcing techniques, contract negotiations, building a client base, and securing funding for export ventures.

The training didn’t stop there. It expanded to cover the intricacies of selling foodstuffs within Nigeria, emphasizing the importance of packaging and creating irresistible sales pitches. In a move to empower even those without start-up capital, the program introduced the concept of shippdropping.

Additionally, participants learned about supplying maize and soybeans to companies in Nigeria, acting as personal shoppers for international clients, and leveraging various platforms to sell food items both locally and abroad.

As the program draws to a close, the final session on branding in Omu Aran promises to be the cherry on top, giving participants the tools to create a unique identity for their agribusinesses.

What sets the BTA Foundation apart is its commitment to sustainable empowerment. As one participant noted, “BTA has not just been showing his face in the midst of scarcity alone, he has been teaching us how to fish.” This sentiment echoes the foundation’s ethos of providing long-term solutions rather than temporary fixes.

The Oyinbo Farmer scheme is just one of many initiatives by the BTA Foundation aimed at uplifting communities and individuals. By focusing on skill development and providing seed funding, the foundation is creating a ripple effect of positive change across different communities in Kwara South.

As the program concludes, it’s clear that the Oyinbo Farmer scheme has not only met but exceeded its goals, providing a comprehensive toolkit for aspiring agripreneurs to thrive in the dynamic world of agribusiness.

The impact of this initiative is bound to be felt for years to come, as participants transform their newfound knowledge into successful enterprises.
