Ekiti-Kwara Youth Navigators Commend Senator Lola Ashiru for Digital Empowerment Initiative

The Ekiti-Kwara Youth Navigators (EKYN), a community-focused development organization, have expressed their gratitude for a recent digital empowerment program that provided supplementary laptops to digitally skilled youths in Ekiti Local Government.

The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to promote youth development and technological advancement in the region.

The programme, spearheaded by Senator Lola Ashiru, who represents the Kwara South Senatorial District, aims to equip marginalized groups with the necessary tools for self-reliance and community growth.

The distribution of laptops is intended to bridge the digital divide and enhance the technological capabilities of local youths, empowering them to compete more effectively in today’s digital world.

Speaking on behalf of EKYN, the organization’s Secretary, Ogundele Raphael Kehinde, commended the initiative, highlighting its potential impact on the beneficiaries’ digital skills and overall development.

“The equipment will greatly benefit the recipients by boosting their digital competencies, enabling them to compete with other youths across the local government,” he stated.

The Ekiti-Kwara Youth Navigators also expressed optimism about future opportunities for youth empowerment and human capital development in the area.

“We sincerely appreciate the inclusion of our youths in this programme and look forward to further initiatives aimed at enhancing human capital development, which is a core goal of our organization,” Kehinde added.

The digital empowerment initiative aligns with Senator Ashiru’s broader efforts to foster sustainable development and growth among young people in the Kwara South region.

As the programme continues to roll out, it is expected to create new pathways for socio-economic advancement and skill development for the youth in the area.
