As the race for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship ticket in Kwara State heats up, Professor Wale Sulaiman has unveiled an ambitious plan to tackle youth unemployment and transform the state’s economic landscape.
At the heart of his agenda is a commitment to attract national and international investments into critical sectors including agriculture, manufacturing, infrastructure, tourism, mining, clean energy, sports, and ICT.
According to the world‑renowned Nigerian neurosurgeon, these initiatives will not only generate jobs but also create sustainable economic growth for Kwara residents.
Professor Sulaiman emphasized the need for skills development and vocational training, stressing that the state’s educational system must align with industry needs. “We will ensure that our youths are not just educated, but employable. From technical skills to entrepreneurship, our young people will have opportunities to compete and thrive,” he said.
The aspirant also revealed plans to support Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and startups, creating a business-friendly environment where innovation is rewarded and entrepreneurship flourishes. “Kwara’s youths are talented and creative. We aim to harness this potential through targeted policies, mentorship programs, and access to funding,” he added.
