A prominent socio-political group, the Ifelodun/Oyun/Offa Constituency Development Forum has formally adopts Hon. Ademola Bello as its preferred candidate for the 2027 General Elections.
In a press conference covered by 9japarrot and held at the West End Event Centre in Omupo, the forum’s coordinator, Mr. Ibrahim Kolawole stated that the group’s decision followed extensive consultations and a rigorous review of the constituency’s current political and economic standing.
Addressing a diverse audience of community members and youth groups Kolawole lamented that despite the constituency’s status as an economic and educational powerhouse in Kwara State hosting major hubs like the Owode-Offa and Ganmo markets, it has suffered from inadequate and ineffective representation at the National Assembly.
“Our constituency is a major contributor to commerce, agriculture, and trade. We produce scholars, professionals, and entrepreneurs who make Kwara proud,” Kolawole noted.
“However, we have not received the level of representation that matches our potential. We need a representative who can speak strongly and lobby effectively.” He added.
The forum described Bello as a performer whose private sector track record demonstrates the discipline and vision required for public service.
Highlighting his credentials, the group pointed to his 20-year career in business development and telecommunications, where he reportedly grew a business’s annual revenue from ₦271 million to over ₦1 billion.
According to the group, his credentials include; First Class Degree in Management and an MBA in Marketing and currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Policy and Strategy Studies.
They also noted his success in delivery of infrastructure projects worth over ₦500 million while acknowledging his practical manifesto which focused on youth inclusion, economic growth, and educational support.
The group made a passionate appeal to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels to grant Bello the party’s ticket, framing it as a move toward justice and youth inclusion.
“Hon. Ademola Bello represents the opportunity for our future. He is an energetic and progressive youth leader with the exposure and capacity needed to reposition our constituency for greater progress,” the coordinator added.
The press conference, which saw a diverse number of supporters, ended with a formal declaration of Bello as the sole aspirant endorsed by the forum to fly the APC flag in the interest of sustainable development across the three local government areas.
