
The leadership of Kwara North led by Hon Usman Mohammed, the People’s Democratic Party Senatorial Chairman has declared its unanimous support for the governorship aspiration of Chief Sheni Ibiwoye, SAN, describing him as a rare breed in the current political landscape.
Following an extensive engagement session where Chief Ibiwoye presented his development blueprint, party elders, stakeholders, and principal officers expressed strong confidence in his candidacy. They praised the Iludun Oro-born Senior Advocate of Nigeria as “the best among equals” in the race.
Addressing key challenges facing the region, Chief Ibiwoye unveiled a five-point manifesto centered on: security, human capital development, massive infrastructure expansion, modernized agriculture, and the establishment of a Kwara Rural Development Commission.
He also assured stakeholders of fairness and inclusivity in governance, promising equitable distribution of key ministries if he secures the party’s gubernatorial ticket.
In response, stakeholders commended his strategic approach, sincerity, and determination, urging him to maintain continuous engagement with the region to build a strong and lasting relationship, drawing inspiration from the party’s leadership tradition.
