Aspirant for the Ilorin South State Constituency, Alhaji Sulyman Olawale Rilwan, popularly known as SOF, has officially accepted the outcome of the All Progressives Congress (APC) screening exercise.
Despite his journey for the House of Assembly seat concluding at the screening stage, the Chairman of the SOF Foundation and Convener of the SOLID Movement issued a statement on Thursday, May 14, 2026, reaffirming his unwavering commitment to the party’s success in the 2027 general elections.
The statement received by 9japarrot media read in part as follows;
I, Alhaji Sulyman Olawale Rilwan, Ilorin South House of Assembly aspirant and a loyal member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), accept the outcome of the party’s screening exercise with utmost respect and dignity.
I want to commend the wisdom and vision of our Governor and Chairman Nigeria Governor’s forum, Mallam Abdulraham Abdulrazaq and elders of our great party, the APC for their guidance and leadership. Their commitment to the growth and development of our party and the people of Kwara State is truly commendable and shouldn’t be taken for granted.
Though the race for SOF did stop at the screening of House of Assembly aspirants, I pledge, unequivocally to work tirelessly with whoever emerges as our candidate in representing the dynamic people of Ilorin South at the next assembly, supporting their campaign including efforts to deliver topmost quality governance to our people.
I will also implore my fellow aspirants to support the party and our eventual candidates.
To my supporters, I want to urge you to remain calm and accept the party’s decision in good faith. The APC remains our collective platform for achieving greatness, and together, we will continue to drive positive change in Kwara State and Nigeria.
Let us rally behind our party’s flag bearers, from top to bottom, as we strive for a brighter future.
