
Early media reports from the field have indicated a peaceful commencement of the primaries for the House of Representatives aspirants by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State.
The elections are ongoing in six federal constituencies of the state.
Reports coming in indicated that APC stakeholders across Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency are showing strong support and solidarity for Rafiu Ajakaye, PhD, as the flagbearer for the party.
Similarly, strong support is said to be reverberating across wards in Ilorin West and Asa Local Government Areas for Hon. Mukhtar Shagaya, who is reportedly gaining momentum for his reelection bid.
In Ilorin East and South, AbdulQuawiy Olododo, who has been repeatedly hailed for his humility, people skills, wide appeal within the party structure, is being touted as a likely winner of the HoR ticket.
Olododo is being backed by party stakeholders for his leadership capacity to offer purposeful representation.
Feelers from the field show a peaceful and rancour-free process so far as party stalwarts and members voice strong support for their preferred aspirants to represent the party in the coming 2027 polls.
