APC Primaries: Camp Denies Reports of Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi’s Disqualification from Kwara South Race, Says it Fake News

The campaign council of All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial aspirant, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi (ENACT) has urged party members and the general public to completely disregard circulating online reports claiming he has withdrawn or been disqualified from the Kwara South senatorial primary election.

In an official notice released on Monday morning and made available to 9japarrot media as voting commenced across the district, the Coordinator of the ENACT Youth Brigade, Aiyedun Hammed described the viral publications as the handiwork of “enemies of progress” aiming to confuse delegates at the eleventh hour.

The statement noted that the reports were intentionally timed to coincide with the primary elections in order to fracture Adeyemi’s strong support base across the seven local government areas of Kwara South.

The ENACT campaign structure maintained that Engr. Adeyemi remains fully in the race, has met all constitutional requirements of the party, and has not signed any withdrawal memorandum.

“Please kindly disregard any online news stating the withdrawal and disqualification of Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi (ENACT),” the notice read.

“The fake news is from enemies of progress. Kindly disregard it completely.” it added

9japarrot reports that the clarification comes amid intense political maneuvering within the Kwara South APC, where high-profile contenders including the incumbent Senator Oyelola Ashiru, Hon. Gbenga Makanjuola Peter, and Hajia Muheebah Dankaka are locked in a fierce battle for the ticket.

With various political pressure groups already warning against misinformation and “orchestrated declarations” across Irepodun, Isin, Oke-Ero, Ekiti, Offa, Oyun, and Ifelodun local governments, the ENACT camp has urged its polling agents and mobilizers to remain vigilant and focused on securing victory at the designated collation centers.
