The Hon. Olushola Odetundun Campaign Organisation has debunked rumors circulating on social media regarding the purported disqualification of the lawmaker from contesting the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Irepodun State Constituency.
In a press release issued by its Media Directorate on Tuesday and made available to 9japarrot, the campaign organization described the narrative as mischievous and misleading propaganda orchestrated by desperate political opponents to create confusion among party faithful.
Setting the records straight, the campaign directorate affirmed that Hon. Odetundun, who currently represents the Irepodun State Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly, successfully exercised his constitutional right of appeal and has been given a clean bill of health to contest.
“For the purpose of clarity and to set the records straight, Hon. Olushola Odetundun was DULY CLEARED by the appropriate Appeal Committee after exercising his constitutional right of appeal,” the statement read.
“He remains fully qualified, cleared, and eligible to participate in the forthcoming APC primary election.”
The organization added that the attempt to falsely portray the lawmaker as disqualified was a calculated act of desperation meant to discourage his massive support base from turning out at the primary election venues.
The campaign organization noted that the lawmaker’s popularity across the eleven (11) wards of the constituency remains unshaken due to his accessible leadership style and commitment to grassroots development.
The statement highlighted his scorecards, pointing specifically to his recent constituency-wide empowerment programme where production equipment, tools, and financial support were distributed to artisans and traders to boost local livelihoods.
Urging party members to separate authentic party machinery updates from empty rhetoric, the campaign organization called on all APC stakeholders, delegates, and loyalists to ignore the detractors and focus on consolidation.
“No amount of falsehood, blackmail, or political intimidation can erase the visible impact Hon. Odetundun has made across the constituency. The people know those who genuinely stand with them, and they also know those who only appear during election season with propaganda,” the directorate added.
As the race for the Irepodun assembly ticket intensifies, the Odetundun camp urged supporters to remain calm, focused, and ready to turn out massively to secure a mandate for continuous quality representation.
