Former Abia State Governor and Senator representing Abia North, Orji Uzor Kalu, on Saturday led over 2,000 party members and supporters in Igbere Ward A during the Presidential Primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), held in a peaceful, carnival-like atmosphere.
The large turnout reflected a strong show of support for the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a significant display of party unity and grassroots mobilization.
Speaking on the exercise, Kalu expressed satisfaction with the outcome, noting that President Tinubu secured the maximum votes in the ward.
He described the result as a clear statement of confidence and belief in the continuity of the President’s leadership and the Renewed Hope agenda.
The development further highlights Orji Uzor Kalu’s influence and organizational strength within the APC structure in Abia State and the South-East, as efforts intensify ahead of the general elections.
The event is being seen as another indication that the Renewed Hope train continues to gather momentum across key political blocs.
