APC chieftain and renowned neurosurgeon, Prof. Wale Sulaiman, CON, has extended warm felicitations to the global Muslim Ummah, particularly Muslims in Kwara State and across Nigeria, on the occasion of the Eid-el-Adha celebration, urging them to reflect on the values of sacrifice, compassion, tolerance, and service to humanity.
In his Eid message, Prof. Sulaiman called on Muslims to utilise the sacred Day of Arafat and the Eid period to seek the blessings, mercy, and divine protection of Allah (SWT) over Nigeria, especially as the nation continues to confront challenges related to insecurity and socio-economic development.
He emphasized the importance of praying for peace, unity, and wisdom for leaders at all levels, noting that national transformation requires collective responsibility, faith, and commitment to the common good.
According to him, “Islam remains a religion of peace, love, tolerance, and unity. The teachings and character of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), particularly his spirit of tolerance, compassion, and coexistence during the historic migration to Madinah, remain timeless examples for Muslims and humanity at large.”
Prof. Sulaiman urged Muslims to be their brothers’ keepers regardless of religious, ethnic, or social differences, stressing that societies thrive when people choose unity over division and compassion over indifference.
He further encouraged Muslims to celebrate Eid with moderation, extend kindness to neighbours, share their blessings with the less privileged, and support vulnerable members of society during the festive period.
The APC stalwart prayed for continued peace, progress, and transformational development in Nigeria, expressing optimism that with unity, faith, and purposeful leadership, the country would overcome its challenges and attain greater prosperity.
“May Allah (SWT) accept our sacrifices, answer our prayers, and continue to bless Kwara State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria with peace, stability, and sustainable progress,” he said.
