The 10th Legislature of the Kwara State House of Assembly on Monday rose from a strategic meeting with a unified declaration, passing a vote of confidence on the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON while unanimously backing the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Engr. Salihu Yakubu-Danladi as the All Progressives Congress (APC) authentic governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections.
Addressing members of the Fourth Estate during a press conference held at the House of Assembly Complex in Ilorin, the lawmakers stated that the intervention became highly expedient following weeks of political undercurrents, misinformation, and the misrepresentation of factual outcomes surrounding the party’s primary election.
Speaking on behalf of the elected representatives across the various state constituencies, House Leader of the 10th Kwara State House of Assembly and member representing Ilorin Central Constituency, Barrister Oba Magaji reaffirmed their unalloyed loyalty and commitment to Governor AbdulRazaq’s leadership, acknowledging his purposeful administration as the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and the Sardauna of the Ilorin Emirate. They lauded his massive developmental strides across the state, promising to sustain legislative synergy to protect his enduring legacies.
The lawmakers further declared that after extensive consultations and collective deliberations, they are fully united behind Speaker Danladi’s gubernatorial candidacy. Salihu Yakubu-Danladi’s governorship election, and all APC candidates across the board.
