Former Sweden striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has explained why Spain defeated France 2-0 in Tuesday’s World Cup semi-final encounter.
According to Ibrahimovic, Spain wanted the win more than France, adding that they took command of the game for the entire duration of the match.
Speaking on Fox Sports, the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star said, “When I speak about Spain, I don’t speak of one star; the team is the star. When they shine, they shine collectively, even if you have Yamal.
Spain is not a team that depend on one player. France lost against a better team today.
“Spain took the command of the game from the first minute until the last minute. They were active. They wanted it. France should have done more.”
Goals from Mikel Oyarzabal and Pedro Porro earned Spain a deserved win against the Les Bleus.
