The National Leadership of the Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC) has announced the appointment of Comrade Adebayo Kayode Joshua as the national Project Secretary of the organization.
The official appointment was conveyed in a formal letter signed by the National President of NYC, Engr. Jethro Annum, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
According to the letter obtained by 9japarrot, the decision by the Congress leadership follows Comrade Adebayo’s background with the NYC Kwara State Chapter and recognizes his dedication to youth empowerment, organizational growth, leadership, and administrative capacity.
In his capacity as Project Secretary, he will operate under the direct supervision of the National Leadership and oversee the planning, coordination, documentation, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of national NYC projects.
His core responsibilities include managing secretarial activities relating to NYC projects, maintaining proper records, reports, and official documentation, and assisting in the preparation of project proposals, work plans, budgets, and implementation schedules. Additionally, he is charged with liaising across NYC departments, state chapters, government institutions, development organizations, and strategic partners, monitoring project execution, coordinating meetings, workshops, and seminars, and supporting resource mobilization and project funding initiatives as directed by the National Executive Council.
Following the official communication, Comrade Adebayo Kayode Joshua formally accepted the appointment in a signed response addressed to the National President.
In his acceptance letter, he expressed appreciation to the National Leadership for the trust reposed in him and pledged to discharge his duties with integrity, diligence, professionalism, loyalty, confidentiality, and accountability while upholding the constitution and core objectives of the Nigerian Youth Congress.
The appointment takes effect immediately.
