The Coalition of Kwara APC Youths and Supporters (C-KAYS) has passed a vote of confidence in the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, commending his administration’s performance and reaffirming its support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of forthcoming elections.
The resolution was contained during a press conference led by the coalition Coordinator Mallam Nasirudeen Abiola in Ilorin on Friday.
Abiola said the coalition had observed what he described as measurable progress in education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture and security under AbdulRazaq’s administration, stating that the governor had demonstrated a pragmatic approach to governance through fiscal responsibility, partnerships and advocacy for the state at the national level in his capacity as Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum.
The coalition further commended the governor for efforts to strengthen party unity and grassroots mobilisation across the three senatorial districts, particularly by creating opportunities for young people to participate in governance and decision-making.
C-KAYS also declared its full political support to the party’s flag bearer, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi and all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections in Kwara State, promising to work with party structures to ensure cohesive campaigns, peaceful conduct and increased voter turnout for the party.
Speaking with news men shortly after the event, Kwara Commissioner of Environment and State of Coordinator Renewed Hope Youth Engagement, Hon. Nafisat Buge and the Special Adviser on Party Affairs to Governor Abdulrazaq, Hon. Moshood Alaka in their separate remarks called on the youths to amplify Governor Abdulrazaq’s achievements to the grassroots, urging them to remain loyal to the party.
The coalition therefore urged its members and supporters to maintain discipline, obey electoral laws and guidelines, reject violence and avoid actions capable of undermining the credibility of the electoral process.
