Senate President Godswill Akpabio has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will be re elected for a second term in office in the 2027 presidential election.
Akpabio stated this in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, where he said the All Progressives Congress (APC) would present its achievements to Nigerians as the party prepares for the 2027 campaign.
The Senate President said Tinubu had introduced significant changes since assuming office, particularly in the management of the nation’s economy.
According to him, the President inherited an economy in crisis, noting that 27 states were previously unable to pay workers’ salaries and pensions.
He, however, claimed that the situation had improved due to Tinubu’s “reengineering” of the economy and his ability to think outside the box.
Akpabio said Nigerians would have the opportunity to assess the administration’s performance during the 2027 election and ultimately choose whether to retain Tinubu in office.
He added that the APC would unveil more details about what he described as the President’s achievements during its campaign activities.
“In 2027, Nigerians will separate the chaff from the grains and re elect President Tinubu for a second term in office,” Akpabio said.
