The Founder of ENACT and ENACT Innovation Hub, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun, has hosted a grand prayer session and reception in honour of Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, following his conferment as the Sardauna of Ilorin by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR.
The event, held at the ENACT Residence, Irewolede, Yidi Road, Ilorin on Thursday, brought together political leaders, community stakeholders, and party faithful from across the state to offer prayers and celebrate the Governor’s historic elevation.
The programme featured opening prayers led by Hon. Stephen Agboola and goodwill messages extolling the leadership strides of the newly turbaned Sardauna.
Delivering his welcome address, Engr. Adeyemi expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah and to the Emir of Ilorin for finding Governor AbdulRazaq worthy of the prestigious title. He noted that the honour is a testament to the Governor’s impactful leadership, dedication to peace, and developmental strides across Kwara State.
The turbaning, which took place on Wednesday, September 16 at the Emir’s Palace, was conferred in recognition of the Governor’s outstanding leadership and commitment to peace and unity. Governor AbdulRazaq is the first person to hold the title of Sardauna of Ilorin in this dispensation. 95e1
“This gathering was organized to offer prayers for wisdom, protection, and sustained success as the Governor continues to lead the state and serve as Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum,” Engr. Adeyemi said.
Dignitaries at the event poured encomiums on Governor AbdulRazaq and commended Engr. Adeyemi for organizing the reception.
Former Commissioner and Director General of the Kwara South Unity Group, Alh. Engr. Bayo Alao, praised the Governor’s dedication to governance and regional development.
The Secretary of the ENACT Support Group and Coordinator of the Kwara Unity Group, Alh. Dr. Tunde Salami, highlighted the unity and progress achievable under progressive leadership.
Former Kwara State House of Assembly member, Alh. Akanni, alongside other members of the Kwara South Unity Group, expressed solidarity and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Governor’s vision.
The celebration featured intense prayer sessions for the progress of Kwara State and concluded with a reception and photo session as attendees pledged continued support for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in his elevated role as Sardauna of Ilorin.
