The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State has officially launched its President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) Door-to-Door Campaign Movement ahead of the 2027 general elections, with party leaders and stakeholders reaffirming their commitment to securing victory for the President and all APC candidates across the state.
The flag-off ceremony, held at the Adewole Baseball Park in Ilorin, brought together political officeholders, party elders, community stakeholders, and thousands of grassroots mobilisers to initiate early voter engagement across Kwara’s 193 wards.
Addressing the gathering, Kwara APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi declared that the party remains the undisputed political force in the state, citing the developmental track record and governance achievements of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration as its core strength.
In his remarks, the National Coordinator of the PBAT Campaign Movement, Comrade Sunday Adekanbi Asuku, called on citizens to support President Tinubu’s re-election bid, highlighting policy interventions aimed at youth development and educational access.
“The policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are designed to transform the country and expand opportunities for ordinary citizens,” Asuku stated.
“Initiatives like the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) have made higher education accessible to students from less-privileged backgrounds, demonstrating a clear commitment to human capital development.” He added.
Delivering the keynote address, the 2027 Kwara APC governorship candidate and Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi, adopted the campaign slogan “Ìwájú L’À Nlò” (Moving Forward), urging residents to safeguard the state’s progress rather than return to past governance challenges.
“Our slogan is ‘Ìwájú L’À Nlò’ because Kwara cannot afford to go backward,” Danladi said.
“Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration has delivered noticeable achievements across workers’ welfare, health, education, and infrastructure. The people of Kwara recognize this progress and will choose continuity over returning to the conditions of previous administrations.” He added.
Commending the organizers, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq emphasized that sustained grassroots engagement remains critical to the party’s electoral strategy, calling on party members to remain steadfast.
“Grassroots mobilization is the backbone of our political strength,” Governor AbdulRazaq said in his address.
“I commend the campaign organization for this initiative, and I urge all party members to remain united, disciplined, and committed as we take our message of sustained development and good governance to every household in Kwara State.” He added.
9japarrot reports that the event concluded with the formal presentation of campaign materials to ward coordinators and solidarity chants by various youth and women groups.
