Wike made the statement during a meeting in Port Harcourt with supporters of Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara and youth leaders who are aligned with him.
He said that fully supporting Tinubu’s second term was crucial to securing important political appointments, better infrastructure, and long-term relevance for Rivers State.
Wike said that cooperation with the federal government would help the state stay strong and important in the country’s political scene.
The Minister urged party loyalists, youth groups, and local community members to forget old problems, forgive previous mistakes, and fully support President Tinubu.
He said: “Politics is about figuring out where the state stands to gain the most power. Tinubu is the only thing I wish to hear in this state.
“If we continue to act the way we are now, and if we are among the first three states to receive the most votes, we will get more of these positions.”
