2027: Atiku’s Camp Challenges Tinubu to Face Nigerians at Ballot, Not ‘Hide Behind Ebola’

The camp of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has challenged President Bola Tinubu to face Nigerians at the ballot box rather than hide behind Ebola or other excuses.

Atiku’s senior media aide, Phrank Shuaibu, made the call in a statement on Wednesday while reacting to the political situation in the country.

The camp urged Tinubu to test his popularity at the polls, arguing that Nigerians were suffering from economic hardship and were eager to hold the administration accountable.

“Tinubu must face Nigerians at the ballot box, not hide behind Ebola,” the statement said.

It added that invoking Ebola or any other excuse would not shield the administration from the judgment of Nigerians over the challenges facing the country.

The camp further argued that democracy thrived when leaders submitted themselves to the will of the people through elections rather than making excuses.

As of the time of filing this report, the Presidency had yet to react to the statement.
