Ex-Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has warned that the Premier League club faces a genuine risk of relegation this season.
The Red Devils currently sit in 17th place after losing 2-0 at Chelsea last weekend.
United, who are winless in nine fixtures, have picked up only seven points from nine games in the league so far.
Ten Hag has now said that the competitive nature of the Premier League means United are in real danger of going down.
“In the Premier League it’s certainly possible, because all the teams are simply strong,” Ten Hag told ESPN.
United are scheduled to host Roma in the Champions League before they welcome Aston Villa in the Premier League this weekend.
