The All Progressives Congress (APC) Oro Ward I and Ward II held a joint stakeholders meeting on 13th July 2025 at the Events Centre, Oro, bringing together party leaders, elders, youth representatives, and stakeholders to strategize on strengthening party unity and grassroots mobilization.
The major highlight of the event was the charge delivered by Alhaji Raheem Adedoyin, the Oloriewe of Oro Kingdom, who urged members to work together in peace and harmony. He pledged his continued support for Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and the APC-led government, emphasizing the need for collective responsibility in building the party’s future and sustaining unity at the grassroots.
Also speaking, Hon. Ben Duntoye, former Commissioner for Information and the Oluomo of Oro Kingdom, called for regular joint meetings between the two wards to foster collaboration and unity. He noted that consistent engagement would prevent misunderstandings and division.
In their separate remarks, Hon. Samuel Odeyemi, Chairman of Ward II, and Alhaji Suleiman Kayode Alawode, Chairman of Ward I, stressed the importance of mutual respect and teamwork among party members. They advised members to put the party’s success above personal interests and assured everyone of their commitment to the progress of Oro and the APC.
Chief Segun Olaoye, the Babalaje of Oro Kingdom, also encouraged leaders and followers to work hand-in-hand for the growth of the party. He particularly charged the youth to be good ambassadors of the Oro community, promoting peace and unity.
