••• Dankaka Thanks President Tinubu for Opportunity to Serve as FCC Chair

The ancient city of Offa in Kwara State, under the paramount rulership of Olofa of Offa, His Royal Majesty Oba Mufutau Muhammed Oloyede Gbadamosi, Okikiola Esuwoye II Ajagungbade I, on Saturday standstills as they trooped out en masse to honour Hajia Dr. Muheeba Dankaka, the immediate Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), with a grand reception.
The “Homecoming and Celebrating Excellence in Service” event organized by The Like-Minds for Dankaka which heldat the Olofa’s Palace drew dignitaries from across the state and featured a rich display of Offa’s culture.
The proceedings began with a heartfelt opening prayer delivered by the Chief Imam of Offa, ably represented by Dr. Qosim Olatunji.
Prior to arriving at the Olofa’s Palace, people troops out in their large numbers to catch a glance of Hajia Dr. Muheebah Dankaka locked down the whole streets across the ancient town singing, chanting praises and praying for her as a show of love and solidarity while she made her way to the palace from her residential house. The outpouring of love by the people got her emotional leading her to shed tears of joy as she couldn’t contain the historic gestures.
Similarly, She was received by a large number of people and stakeholders upon arriving at the palace solidifying her overwhelmed acceptability and the natural love she had earned from the nooks and crannies of the community and beyond over the years.
Speaking at the ceremony, Olofa of Offa and Secretary, Kwara State Council of Chiefs and Traditional Rulers, His Royal Majesty Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Okikiola Esuwoye II, Ajagungbade I who was effusive in his praise, commended Dankaka’s conduct during her tenure.
“We are very proud of you, with the level of discipline and principles you exhibited during your tenure you have portrayed to the world that you are a great ambassador of Offa Land and Kwara State at large,” said the revered monarch.
Olofa in his goodwill remarks urges the community to keep praying for her and accord her all necessary support, noting that she is a great asset to Offa, Kwara and the Nation at large.
On his part, the Asiwaju of Offa, Alhaji Tajudeen Awoyemi, added his goodwill message, specifically praising her unprecedented achievements and wonderful job done while serving as the FCC Chairman.
He noted that she has exemplified a great leadership style that is worthy of emulation and commendation, while praying to God to keep her more healthy in order to keep serving humanity.
Adding to the goodwill message, Executive Chairman of Offa LGA, Hon. Suleiman Olatunji Omituntun, also commended Dr. Dankaka for her contributions to humanity and strategic empowerment efforts, which he noted are worthy of emulation.
Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) and Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who was represented by Hon. Abdulateef Gidado Alakawa (Chairman of the Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority), expressed his delight, noting that Dr. Dankaka didn’t disappoint the Govt and the people of Kwara State during her tenure.
He characterised her outstanding performance and can do spirit as the traits of Offa people who naturally and exceptionally performs well in all spheres of life.
Congratulating her on the success of her tenure, he charges her not to relent in her contributions to humanity.
In her remarks, Dr. Muheebah Dankaka, who was emotionally overwhelmed by the reception, expressed profound gratitude.
She thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for the opportunity to serve the nation and appreciated Kwara Govt, Olofa of Offa and the entire community for their support and prayers during her tenure.
She extended her appreciation to the organizing committee for putting together the wonderful event, noting that their efforts have made the moment truly unforgettable.
“To my colleagues, political office holders, members of the national and state Assemblies, friends, and well-wishers, your presence here today is a testament to the bonds we have formed and the memories we have shared” She added.
She noted that the recognition is not just a celebration of her service, but a testament to the power of community collaboration, and dedication, expressing her delights to have served the community and look forward to continuing to contribute to its growth and prosperity.

The banner bore significant inscriptions, including: “Congratulation!! The event drew numerous dignitaries, including the representative of the Emir of Ilorin, the Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin Emirate, Dr. Usman Atolagbe Abubakar Jos, Kwara Commissioner for Health Dr Amina Ahmed El-Imam, Former House of Reps candidate, Hon Saheed Popoola, Iyaloja of Offa, Femi Agbaje Whyte, Adviser on Political Matters to Kwara Governor, Former KWHA Leader and 1st Chairman of Offa LG, Hon Hassan Oyeyemi Oyeleke, Members of Like-minds for Dankaka, among others.
