The Chief Imam of Offa, Sheikh Muhydeen Salman Hussein, has called on Nigerians to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, citing the “Renewed Hope” reforms in the petroleum sector and the strategic appointment of high-performing technocrats.

Speaking on Sunday, during the Babayuo Foundation’s Annual Ramadan Lecture held at the Elemosho Mosque in Oke-Ode, Ifelodun LGA, the renowned Islamic scholar described the appointment of the illustrious son of Oke-Ode, Engr. Dr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, as the Group CEO of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) as a masterstroke in governance.

“I want to appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for recognizing excellence by appointing our son, Engr. Bayo Ojulari, to lead the NNPCL,” Sheikh Hussein said.

“He is a worthy ambassador of Kwara State who has implemented critical reforms that are stabilizing the sector. One good term deserves another, and we pray for the President’s continued success in 2027.” He said citing the fulfilment of the President’s “Renewed Hope” agenda being implemented especially in the petroleum sector.

The lecture, which is a cornerstone of the Babayuo Foundation’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), focused on the spiritual obligations of the wealthy during Ramadan.

Sheikh Hussein urged the affluent to prioritize the welfare of the less privileged, emulating the philanthropic model of the Ojulari family.

The event was electrified with the arrival of the Elesa of Oke-Ode, HRH Oba Muftau Adebayo Akanbi Ibrahim (Ilufemiloye I) who graced the spiritual gathering alongside other prominent personalities.

Oba Muftau, while addressing newsmen, praised the returning of normalcy to the community and urged other successful indigenes to follow Dr. Ojulari’s lead in investing in grassroots development.

The program featured soul-stirring Qur’anic recitations by Sheikh Ibrahim Usman Al-akatawiy and was attended by large numbers of faithful from across the State.

Rasak Ajala, Former Council Chairman, Odi-Olowo LG, Lagos State, Alhaji Abdulrohufi Akanbi Ajisafe, Chief Imam of Oke-Ode, Alhaji Muhammad Muktar Zubair Arobiloye, Chief Mufasiru of Oke-Ode, UNILORIN Director of Information, Chief Kunle Akogun, among others.
