BREAKING: Musa Yekeen Alabi Declares for Oke Ogun Constituency Seat

An emerging political figure from Ojoku in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Musa Yekeen Alabi, has officially declared his intention to contest for the Oke Ogun Constituency seat under the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), pledging to deliver purposeful and people-centered representation.

Speaking on his decision, Musa emphasized that his ambition goes beyond politics, describing it as a commitment to impact and service.

According to him, his drive is rooted in a lifelong passion for community development and giving back to society.

“I am contesting because I believe Oke Ogun deserves purposeful and people-centered representation. For me, this is not just about politics; it is about impact. It has always been in my blood to give back to my community and contribute meaningfully to its growth,” he stated.

He noted that his years of involvement in educational support initiatives, community engagements, and empowerment programmes have exposed him to the challenges facing the people, particularly youths and students.

“Over the years, I have seen firsthand the gaps our people face—especially our youths and students. I am stepping forward because I believe we can do better. We can build a constituency where opportunities are created, where education is supported, and where leadership is accessible and accountable to the people,” he added.

Musa further stressed that his candidacy is anchored on service, expressing readiness to serve with dedication and sincerity.

Highlighting why he should be entrusted with the mandate, he described himself as a representative of a new approach to leadership—one that prioritizes results and remains closely connected to the people.

“I am not coming with empty promises. I have already started doing the work,” he said.

He cited his contributions to education through the distribution of exercise books, direct community engagement, and grassroots empowerment initiatives.

Musa identified accessibility, accountability, and action as the pillars of his approach to governance as his core leadership values.

“What I offer is accessibility—I am present and connected to the people; accountability—I believe leadership must answer to the people; and action—I focus on practical solutions, not just words,” he explained.

He also assured constituents of his commitment to inclusive representation, noting that his goal is to ensure that the voices of the people of Oke Ogun are not only represented but genuinely heard.

Speaking on his competence, Musa pointed to his professional background as a Business Analyst and Project Manager, which he said equips him with the skills required for effective governance.

“In my career, I have solved complex problems, worked with data to make informed decisions, managed projects, and collaborated with diverse stakeholders to achieve results. These are the same skills needed in governance—understanding problems, designing solutions, and ensuring execution,” he noted.

He further highlighted his consistent track record in community development and his structured approach to leadership, emphasizing planning, execution, and accountability as key strengths.

Musa described himself as a bridge between experience and the future, combining an understanding of existing systems with a strong connection to the aspirations of the younger generation.

“I am not just asking for your vote; I am asking for your trust. Together, we can build a better Oke Ogun,” he concluded.
