Ajayi Reuben Olabanji Declares for Ekiti Constituency Assembly Seat

Says Ambition Driven by genuine desire to serve people, Not a Do-
Or-Die Affair

Hon. Reuben Olabanji Ajayi, ACA, ACTI, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant for Kwara State House of Assembly representing Ekiti Constituency, earlier today officially arrived at the PDP Ekiti Local Government Secretariat to declare his intention to contest in the upcoming elections. He was warmly received by community chiefs, party stakeholders, and numerous supporters, creating a lively atmosphere marked by local drumming and chants of “PDP and Saraki Oloye.”

A strong cross-section of PDP stakeholders and party structures in Ekiti LG gathered in solidarity during Ajayi’s declaration, demonstrating the unity and collective support of the party at the grassroots level.

The aspirant also formally presented himself at the PDP Stakeholders’ Meeting held at the residence of Hon. Felicia Ebun Owolabi, the Yeyeluwa of Ekiti LG, Ilorin.

PDP State Assistant Organizing Secretary (NFF), Mallam Suleiman Ganiyu Kehinde, commended Hon. Ajayi for his unwavering commitment and loyalty to the party, describing his consistency as exemplary. He encouraged the aspirant to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship before, during, and after the party primaries, while calling on the people of Oke-Opin to rally behind their son.

In the same vein, the PDP 2024 Chairmanship Candidate for Ekiti LG, Hon. Ishaq Ahmod Abolarin, praised Ajayi’s dedication to the party and hailed his bold step to contest for the State House of Assembly. The gathering reinforced that preparation for the 2027 general elections requires discipline, cooperation, and a shared vision for the constituency.

Honorable Shola Rotimi, National President of the Oke Opin Progressive Union (OPU), also expressed his support for Ajayi Reuben Olabanji, commending his genuine love and dedication to the community. Speaking at the PDP Secretariat in Osi, Hon. Rotimi joined other community leaders in solidarity, highlighting the aspirant as “their own son” and offering prayers for his success.

In a peaceful and orderly atmosphere, Ajayi Reuben Olabanji ACA, ACTI, officially presented his letter of intent to the PDP Chairman of Ekiti LG, Chief Agbelusi Felix Olushola (JP). The chairman acknowledged the letter and urged the aspirant to maintain sportsmanship throughout the primary process, emphasizing the importance of unity and fair competition.

Ajayi Reuben Olabanji appreciated the support of his well-wishers and pledged continued dedication to both the party and the development of Ekiti LG. The series of events reflects his commitment to due process, community service, and building strong relationships with both his constituents and party structures.
