Yèyélúà’s Competency-Based Awareness Campaign: Day 6

DAY 6: EXPOSURE TO INTERNATIONAL POLICY MAKING AND GOVERNANCE:
In an increasingly interconnected world, and in a time when lawmaking, policy drafting, and legislation are integrated and harmonised across borders through international parliaments and regulatory bodies, effective representation requires global awareness and exposure. Hon. Olasumbo Florence Oyeyemi brings valuable experience from engaging with international institutions and development frameworks.
As the state commissioner for Finance, she championed the World Bank-assisted States’ Fiscal, Transparency and Accountability Sustainability Program that resulted in significant fiscal reforms in Kwara State, and steered the State towards benefiting a significant performance-based grant cumulated to Tens of millions of US dollars, as well as other accompanying benefits such as capacity development of critical officers of thematic MDAs, under the World Bank SFTAS Program.
Her training in public financial management and public policy at global platforms such as Harvard Kennedy School of Government and IMFx has exposed her to international best practices in public policy, governance and economic development.
This level of exposure enhances her ability to attract partnerships, leverage opportunities, and align local development priorities with global frameworks.
She brings not just local understanding, but a global perspective that can drive meaningful progress for her constituency at the grassroots level.
Yèyéluà is ready to leverage her Global exposure to make a local impact across Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin/ Oke-Ero Federal constituency.
