The Chief Press Secretary to the Kwara State Governor, Mall. Rafiu Ajakaye has officially joined the 2027 contest for House of Representative seat representing Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency.
Ajakaye announced his intention to seek the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket in a declaration video released via his official social media handles and monitored by 9japarrot media.
The Governor’s spokesperson revealed that his decision to run was not personal but a result of extensive consultations with party faithful, key stakeholders, and political leaders across the three local government areas Ifelodun, Offa, and Oyun.
Ajakaye emphasized that his candidacy is anchored on a commitment to providing purposeful representation
at the green chamber.
He noted that his professional background in journalism and public communications, combined with his experience at the heart of the state’s executive administration, equips him with the requisite skills to advocate effectively for the constituency’s interests in Abuja.
In his message, Ajakaye urged constituents and party members to rally behind his bid as the state prepares for the 2027 general elections.
“My ambition is driven by a desire to offer representation that is responsive to the needs of our people,” He added.
