The President of the BTA Foundation and Aspirant for the House of Representatives, Barrister Joseph Titilope Akogun (Amofin Akogun), has appealed to stakeholders and distinguished leaders of the party to embrace a new generation of leadership as a catalyst for inclusion, renewed hope, and electoral victory for the party.
Barrister Akogun, a lawyer, international businessman, philanthropist, community development advocate, and promoter of good governance, emphasized that Nigeria remains a land of hope and immense potential. According to him, the nation’s youth and women must be seen as strategic investments for a brighter future.
His message is clear and inspiring, empowering the younger generation and vulnerable members of society is the key to sustainable progress and political success.
Speaking on his vision, Titilope Akogun said:
“I have had several engagements with young people in my community, and what I see is anger, frustration, and hopelessness. Many of our people feel helpless because of the current situation in their environment.
Nigeria is a land blessed with hope and abundant potentials, yet many young people striving for greatness lack the support systems they need to succeed. Naturally, this creates disappointment and frustration.
This reality inspired me to begin making a difference through the BTA Foundation, even in my own little way.”
He further stated that politics remains the most effective vehicle to deliver greater impact and meaningful development to the people.
“I am confident that if given the privilege to fly the flag of our great party, the PDP, I will be fully committed to delivering victory for the party and quality representation for our people.
I have toiled and laboured over the years, and I believe firmly in the certainty of God’s promises. By the grace of God, I will emerge victorious and become the next Representative of our Federal Constituency if I secure my party’s ticket.”
Barrister Akogun unveiled part of his development agenda for the constituency, promising an aggressive empowerment and infrastructure drive.
“In my first year in office, I will empower 100 beneficiaries with One Million Naira each through a transparent empowerment initiative. This translates to investing 100 Million Naira into young businesses annually.
Over a four-year tenure, this initiative alone will create hundreds of successful entrepreneurs and significantly boost the economy of Kwara South.”
He also pledged to prioritize the completion of the Ganmo–Eruku Federal Road to improve transportation, reduce insecurity, and enhance economic activities across Kwara South.
According to him, employment generation will also receive urgent attention through the establishment of a JOB BANK initiative designed to ensure fair and open access to job opportunities.
In addition, he promised to introduce a special PYRAMID INITIATIVE targeted at supporting elderly women and farmers across the constituency.
Barrister Akogun further revealed plans to sponsor bills aimed at facilitating the establishment of:
✅ An Academic Institution
✅ A Federal Medical Centre
✅ A Livestock University
✅ A Farmers’ Processing Hub
✅ A Job Creation Institution
“It will not be an easy task, but I am determined to work relentlessly to establish legacy projects and enduring infrastructure that generations will remember with pride.”
He concluded by describing the moment as the beginning of a new era for the people of Irepodun, Ekiti, Isin, and Oke Ero Federal Constituency.
“It is a new dawn for our Federal Constituency. Together, let us make history.”
