2026 Grand Exhibition: SSA Digital Innovations Hon. Ishola Kayode Conducts Monitoring Tour of Kwara Coding Programme Across Schools

Ahead of the anticipated 2026 Grand Exhibition, the Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Digital Innovations, Hon. Ishola Kayode, has completed a three-day monitoring tour across participating secondary schools to evaluate training progress and inspire students toward practical problem-solving.

The summer edition of the 2026 Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Programme, which commenced on Monday has been equipping secondary school students across Kwara State with high-demand technical capabilities, including Python programming, web development, data management, critical thinking, and digital innovation.

During visits to selected institutions, Hon. Kayode commended the instructors, lead supervisors, and facilitators for their dedication, while challenging participants to convert theoretical knowledge into community-focused technological solutions.

At Idofian Grammar School, the Governor’s aide urged students to approach the upcoming exhibition with confidence, citing the success of Abdulsammad a past participant who developed a functional report card generator as a model for practical application. He noted that the primary objective of the initiative extends beyond teaching basic computer literacy to empowering students with digital skills that address real-world challenges.

Continuing the tour at Queen Elizabeth Secondary School in Ilorin, Hon. Kayode encouraged young innovators to adopt a proactive mindset toward community development rather than waiting for external interventions.

The interactive inspection also covered Ilorin Grammar School, where students shared their practical learning experiences and provided feedback to help refine future cohorts. Concluding the tour at United Community Junior Secondary School, Taiwo Isale, Ilorin, the SSA emphasized the importance of accurate data management in decision-making, noting that the digital skills acquired today lay the foundation for future wealth creation and career opportunities.

The monitoring exercise reflects the Kwara State Government’s sustained commitment under Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, to foster digital inclusion, enhance human capital development, and position Kwara youth for global opportunities within the modern technology ecosystem.
