Ahmad was taken from from his residence on September 17, 2026, when the attackers invaded the community at night.
His remains was later found in a shallow grave at Danladin Gezawa, according to a resident of the area.
A resident, Musa Garba, confirmed the incident to journalists.He stated that residents found the grave four days after the abduction and alerted other members of the community.
“ I attended the funeral prayers today Wednesday at around 3 pm. The assailants tortured the village head to death by cutting off one of his legs and tying his hand behind him. He was brutalised until he died,” Garba said.
He added that the deceased’s wife identified the remains after they were recovered and taken to a hospital.
Garba said the body was already decomposing when it was recovered and was later buried after the hospital confirmed the death.
As of the time of filing this report, the Kano State Police Command has not issued an official statement on the incident.
