Man City Suffer Major Blow As Haaland Picks Up Injury

Manchester City Striker, Erling Haaland

Manchester City will be monitoring Erling Haaland’s fitness after he limped off against Portugal in a UEFA Nations League clash on Sunday.

Haaland requested to be substituted in the second half of the match and was replaced by Jorgen Strand Larsen in the 67th minute.

The striker had played every minute of their previous three fixtures during this international break.

He scored twice in the 3-2 victory over Denmark, before netting in the 2-1 defeat to Portugal in the first meeting.

City manager, Enzo Maresca, will await a medical update on Haaland ahead of their Premier League clash against Liverpool on October 11.

Haaland has scored seven goals in seven games across all competitions for City so far this season.

City will be without Phil Foden for the trip to Anfield as he continues to serve his red card ban, while there are also doubts surrounding Nico O’Reilly and Antoine Semenyo.
