••• Declare Support for Tinubu, AbdulRazaq, Speaker Danladi Ahead of 2027

Scores of former political office holders who served under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) administrations of Dr. Bukola Saraki and Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed in Kwara State have collapsed their political structures into the All Progressives Congress (APC) in support of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The decision was formalized during a general meeting of the Forum of Former PDP Political Office Holders held on Tuesday in Ilorin, drawing delegates from across the state’s 16 local government areas.
In a communique made available to 9japarrot and signed by the forum’s Chairman, Hon. Sufyan Kayode Muritala, and Secretary, Hon. Peter Akindele Oloruntoba, the group attributed its realignment to the bridge-building efforts and inclusive leadership of the Leader of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Oba Magaji Abdulkadir.
The forum declared its total support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, APC Governorship Candidate and Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi, alongside all APC candidates in Kwara State.
“As former office holders who served under PDP, we can attest to the difference in developmental strides of the APC government in Kwara,” the statement read.
“Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has transformed Kwara with visible projects and worker-friendly policies. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is yielding results, and in Rt. Hon. Danladi Yakubu, we see a competent successor to sustain this legacy.”
The former PDP appointees passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of President Tinubu, Governor AbdulRazaq, Speaker Danladi, and Hon. Abdulkadir, pledging to mobilize grassroots structures to secure full electoral victories for the APC across all tiers in Kwara State.
