The Progressive APC Stakeholders Congress has launched a door-to-door voter sensitization initiative in the Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State to mobilize support for All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates across national and state levels ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The campaign, themed “Voter Sensitisation and Election Mobilisation: Operation Deliver Your Polling Unit,” was officially flagged off on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at Emiola Junction in Offa.
Delivering the opening remarks, the Deputy Director-General of the Progressive APC Stakeholders Congress, Queen Lateefat Arewa, appreciated community members and representatives of other APC-affiliated forums that had registered with the group. She assured participants of opportunities to benefit from the party’s programmes and government initiatives if the APC emerges victorious.
The Offa APC Chairman, Hon. Kunle Adegboye Papa, commended Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his developmental achievements in Offa, noting that the positive changes across the community were visible.
He also described the emergence of an indigene of Offa as the state’s deputy governor as a privilege for the community. He urged residents to embrace the APC and sustain their support for the governor’s administration and agenda.
Speaking at the event, the Kwara APC Publicity Secretary, Babatunde Olawale, thanked the people of Offa for their impressive turnout and announced that certificates would be distributed to registered forums as part of the group’s mobilisation efforts.
Olawale assured members that those who remained committed and worked with the party would be recognised and given opportunities to benefit from its programmes and government initiatives. He contrasted the group’s approach with what he described as the practice of political groups abandoning their supporters after elections.
In his address, the Director-General of the Progressive APC Stakeholders Congress, Dr. Hakeem Akande, formally launched the group’s campaign activities and expressed appreciation to the people of Offa for their participation.
Akande called for unity among party members, stressing that collective action was essential to achieving their political objectives. He expressed confidence in the APC’s prospects, stating that the party had credible candidates capable of delivering on their promises.
Also speaking, the Offa Local Government Council Chairman, Omituntun Rejoice, congratulated the people of Offa and pledged support for all APC candidates, from the national to the state level.
He maintained that the party remained united and used the occasion to formally launch the group and present certificates to registered forums, describing the initiative as part of efforts to strengthen party structures and encourage participation in its activities.
The event attracted several prominent APC stakeholders and political figures, including the Offa APC Chairman; Kwara APC Publicity Secretary, Babatunde Olawale; the Offa Deputy Chairperson; Hon. Giwa Musemil Kehinde (GMK), candidate for Ojomu/Balogun Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly; Hon. Omotosho Taiye Mutiat, candidate for Essa/Shawo/Igboodun Constituency; Hon. Sharafadeen Olatunde Oladipupo Laka; Ambassador Lawal Usain Muje; and other party leaders and supporters.
9japarrot reports that the launch marks another step in the Progressive APC Stakeholders Congress’s efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation, promote voter awareness and consolidate support for APC candidates ahead of future elections.
